New Year Photo HAIKU

A new year is upon us.

Let’s look back on the past year and forward to the new one by writing some haiku together about silly photos!

During the last stream, we wrote some New Year haiku, just like we’ve done many times before.

#1. Join Me For A Moss Lunch!

SCOTT
A cup of moss tea
Brought to the lips in the woods
Tastes like trying new things

ERICADEEL
Here upon our mossy throne
Repose a spell—but time has flown
Weathered creatures turn to stone

BOBICUS
Mossy sog tops stone
We settle on offered seats
Cold wetness pervades

ABISENSEI
Tough green mountains, sticky humid air
A familiar feeling beckons
Won’t you rest your weary feet?

BOGWITCH
moss grows as we wait
the silence simmers
the steam incipient loss

JUSTINTOONZ
At a table in the woods
A mossy stump, with tea adorned
Take a drink; you’ve been warned

#2. Sriracha Vending Machine (Also Flying-Fish Broth)

SCOTT
Glowing invitation
300 yen and the turn of a crank
A bottle of spicy memories

JUSTINTOONZ
Spicy food reminds me
Of all the pain
The world gives

ERICADEEL
Sriracha surprise
My food’s been baptized
My bowels capsize

ABISENSEI
Spicy saucy goodness
It’s been years since my last taste
My, how time and fish flies

#3. Abbey Stuffs Her Face

SCOTT
Ready to make the pizza
Wait, where did all the cheese go?
My hand inside the empty mozzarella bag

I love all the food
You know that food becomes poo
Then I recycle

Eyes rolled back /
Demon possessed /
Or on cloud nine?

Oh what a great event
To see Abby’s hunger
As it came and went
Bite or inhale it does not matter
Down the hatch! Whether bowl or platter

ALYXVIXEN
Teeth sink in
Pleasure flows through
Ecstasy found

ERICADEEL
I crave and wish
For delicious bliss
From a succulent dish
A perfect chef’s kiss
