Writing About an Egyptian ACHE-ologist

Aches throughout history… is there nothing more worthy of humanity’s research?

George Washington’s legendary twisted ankle, Napoleon’s history-making lumbago, and the great mummies of Egypt that were really just suffering from sore glutes after doing squats all day in the sun.

Thankfully we have a dedicated team willing to devote their lives to studying these magnificent bodily defects: the ACHE-ologists!

During the last stream, chat voted that we write this prompt created by DrantonMason: You’re an acheologist documenting everything in the previously undiscovered tomb of an egyptian god when you accidentally free the spirit inhabiting the sarcophagus. Instead of a curse, the being grants you their godly powers and names you the next pharaoh of Egypt.

Of course, we couldn’t let such a delicious spelling mistake like that go unnoticed! Rather than write about the “archaeologist” who discovered the tomb, we wrote about Archie Sacrum, the ache-ologist instead.

You can read our story here.

Or you can watch a quick video
of us writing/reading it here.

If you want to join us and help write a story by trolling in chat, or share your own writing for feedback, then we’d love to have you. We stream on Twitch every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 7:30pm-11:30pm (U.S. Eastern Standard Time).

And you missed the stream, you can still watch them on the YouTube channel, or watch the full stream reruns.

Hope to see you next time, friend!
