The Photo Haiku-Caption Challenge!

Coming up with a haiku to caption a photo with can be a lot of fun.

But pitting a bunch of people against each other to see who can come up with the best haiku caption for a photo is even more fun!

During the last stream, we had the first photo haiku-caption challenge.

We had three photos that we’d taken in Japan, and it was up to us and chat to caption them with the best haikus possible. After each photo we had a vote for which ones we liked best, and in the end we tallied the votes to find the winner. The grand prize was the winner getting a haiku written about them!

Watch the hilarity here,
or scroll down for some haiku highlights!

Photo #1: My wife Abbey blooming

Here’s some of the haiku highlights for this photo:

The pink rose garden
Is louder than usual
Oh! A girl has bloomed

Beautiful roses
As pink as a blushing bride
Bloom in the sunlight.

The lovely roses
Inspire me to sing a song
I am a Disney princess

Though she sees the rose,
On the wood, behind her grows
One green-shadowed vine

Smelling of sweet pink roses

A word to the wise

Denies me a dry walk for
Just five hundred yen

…me! Ahh, it feels good to win your won contest. Thanks so much for everyone who voted, I’m glad you liked my haiku.

As a prize, Abbey wrote a haiku for me, and I also wrote a haiku for Countysquare who came in 2nd place.

Here are the victory haiku:

ABBEY’S POEM FOR ME:
Beautiful grey eyes
Your logic is impeccable
Oh! You smell like butt!

MY POEM FOR COUNTYSQUARE:
It’s where everyone
Runs when the fair comes to town
To the county square!

After that chat voted that we write this prompt created by bmoney831: At 18, everyone gets tested to determine how morally good they are. You have never hurt a fly and have always gone out of your way to help people. You score a 0. Nobody in history has scored that low.

You can read our story here.

If you want to join us and help write a story by trolling in chat, or share your own writing for feedback, then we’d love to have you. We stream on Twitch every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 7:30pm-11:30pm (U.S. Eastern Standard Time).
