The “Just F*cking Write Something!” story contest is all about, well, just f*cking writing something.
Too often we sit around with ideas in our head that never get written down, but now’s the time to change that. Write a story about the image prompt below, submit that story either via the form below or message me in the Discord, and win fabulous prizes!
Here’s the image prompt for the contest. Interpret it however you want!
A tunnel to a strange world. A meeting place for lovers. A place to hide a body, anything!
Due Date: 8/15 @ 11:59pm EST
Voting: During the 8/19 stream @ 8pm EST
Prizes:
- 1st place: $20 (and VIP badge in stream chat until next contest),
- 2nd place: $10
- 3rd place: $5
- 4th+ place: stream request, art request, signed sticker, etc.

Requirements: 500 – 2,000 words (hard limit), PG-13 or less
Also, this time around, you are welcome to submit your story to me ONCE before your final submission, and I will give you some general feedback to improve it. You are welcome to use/ignore the advice however you’d like. If you’d like the feedback, send your story to me (ScottWritesStuff) via direct message in the Discord.

The story must be an original creation, by you, not published/shown anywhere else publicly before. Do not put any personal identifying information in your story.
After the due date (8/15) is over, I will narrow down the entries to the top 5, which we will read live during the stream on 8/19. Then YOU the viewers get to vote for the final winners.
You are welcome to interpret the image prompt however you like. A steamy murder mystery. A cute story about a dog. A sci-fi colonization of an alien planet. Whatever you want, just f*cking write something!

Rules: You may submit as many entries as you would like as long as they fit the requirements. Any submission that does not fit the requirements will be discarded. Any story that has been published/shown publicly before will be discarded. Any attempt at cheating will result in disqualification. Anything within the story that contributes to the author being identified will result in disqualification. I reserve the right to discard any entries that I deem inappropriate for any reason.
Prize payments will be made via Paypal at most one week after the winners have been announced, and they will be sent to the e-mail given during submission time unless privately discussed with the entrant beforehand. By entering the contest, you consent to having your piece read on stream and published on this blog. Authors retain all rights to their work.
